Ahead Staffing is seeking a a skilled DevOps Engineer to further develop the infrastructure cloud solution for one of our Global E-Commerce clients. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining solutions that will enhance the efficiency and reliability of services offered by the company. This position mainly revolves around building Python-based backend APIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provision and manage bare-metal servers using Ansible playbooks.
- Install, configure, and maintain databases across multiple data centers.
- Ensure data replication between data centers to support Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines across various platforms and stacks.
- Deploy APIs and services to production environments, especially on Kubernetes clusters.
- Implement deployment strategies like blue/green, canary, and rolling restarts.
- Manage load balancing and scaling of services to maintain performance and availability.
- Set up and maintain monitoring, alerts, and metrics collection to ensure system reliability.
- Manage and maintain message queue systems such as Kafka or Pulsar.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Python and experience in API development with Python.
- Strong knowledge of shell scripting, preferably Bash.
- Experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in deploying APIs/services to production environments, with a focus on the deployment process.
- Knowledge of deployment strategies such as blue/green, canary, and rolling restarts.
- Experience with load balancing and scaling.
- Understanding of API and database interactions.
- Experience in setting up monitoring, alerts, and metrics collection.
- Experience with maintaining and managing message queue systems like Kafka or Pulsar.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Jenkins.
- Proficiency in Ansible, particularly using Ansible playbooks.
- Knowledge of Terraform.
- Experience with Prometheus and Grafana.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes.
