【 Job Description】

■Products

1) Trading Platform: This is Japan's first full-scale online trading platform for the free buying and selling of energy. It is a business authorized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

2) Market Data Platform: This platform provides all the energy-related market information and data necessary for electricity trading, including electricity and fuel prices.

3) Market Risk Management Tool: This tool is an Energy Trading Risk Management (ETRM) system specifically for the Japanese power market. It visualizes business risks based on trading status and market data.

4) Environmental Value Marketplace: This is an online marketplace for trading domestic environmental credits and overseas voluntary credits. It aims to support climate change mitigation and help Japan achieve carbon neutrality.

■Responsibilities

• Collaborating with the business side to lead everything from requirements gathering to the design and implementation of machine learning and statistical models.

• Designing and driving the operation of systems that require high availability.

e.g., electricity demand forecasting models, fraudulent transaction detection systems

• Maintaining, operating, and improving existing systems.

• Establishing design and development guidelines.

【 Requirements】

Required

• 3+ years of experience developing and operating services incorporating machine learning and mathematical statistics models

• Experience driving critical system operations with ownership (including incident response)

• Development experience using Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Experience designing and implementing models with explainability in mind

• Foundational knowledge of mathematical optimization and time series analysis

Preferred

• Experience in developing and operating fraud detection models

• Practical experience with MLOps

• Experience promoting AI adoption (including using coding agents and internal deployment)

• Experience developing and operating recommendation engines
