As the company continues to grow and expand its portfolio, it is strengthening its Legal function to support complex regulatory, commercial, and compliance matters within the healthcare industry.
The RoleAs Legal Counsel, you will provide strategic legal support across commercial operations, regulatory matters, compliance, and cross‑functional initiatives.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders-including Medical, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, Commercial, and Global Legal teams-to ensure the company's activities are aligned with Japan laws, industry codes, and global standards.
You will handle a range of responsibilities including reviewing commercial agreements, advising on health regulatory issues, providing guidance on promotional activities, and supporting risk mitigation efforts.
This role requires strong judgment, a solutions‑oriented mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast‑paced, science‑driven environment.Your Skills & Experience
Native‑level Japanese and strong business English proficiency (verbal & written).
Legal qualification in Japan preferred.
Experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or healthcare industry is highly preferred-especially in health regulatory law (e.g., PMD Act, industry codes, promotional compliance).
Strong understanding of commercial contracts, compliance frameworks, and cross‑functional business partnering.Ability to balance legal risk with business needs and propose practical, business‑aligned solutions.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and support stakeholders at all levels.
