Legal Counsel (JP/EN)

Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management & Review
- Review all contracts arising from Procurement activities and RfP (Request for Proposal) processes.
- Draft legal clauses and perform redlining using approved templates.
- Prepare, update, and maintain contract templates and ensure alignment with standard documentation.
- Monitor and track legal document revisions and maintain legal trackers.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, including the delivery team and business units, to ensure legal clarity and alignment.
- Coordinate and support vendor registration processes with external parties.
Regulatory, Compliance & Corporate Support
- Support internal
Data Protection
compliance initiatives across the region. - Assist with
MOF (Ministry of Finance)
applications, insurance renewals, and matters related to entity incorporation. - Ensure legal compliance across operational processes and documentation.
Job requirements:
Qualifications:
- Open for Japanese citizen or Japan PR only.
- Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent legal qualification.
- Preferably admitted to the Bar, or holds CLP/equivalent professional certification (optional but an advantage).
- Strong command of
Japanese
and
English
, with excellent reading, writing, and communication skills in both languages. - Detail-oriented with strong analytical and drafting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
