Job Description:
The Management Intern provides professional-level administrative and project support to the Assistant Vice Provost at the ASU Polytechnic Campus. This position offers the opportunity to gain direct experience in higher education administration, project coordination, and research support. The intern assists in administrative operations, project management, data analysis, and contributes to research initiatives, including support for the ASU Latinx Oral History Lab.
Essential Duties:
Provide administrative and operational support, including scheduling, calendar management, and correspondence.
Coordinate, monitor, and document project activities to ensure timely progress and completion.
Apply AI tools and technologies for data analysis, visualization, and process optimization.
Support research and reporting activities, including data collection and literature review.
Contribute to the ASU Latinx Oral History Lab through data management and organization of project materials.
Conduct independent research in administrative or operational areas relevant to campus initiatives.
Prepare summaries, presentations, and visualizations for internal reporting and decision-making.
Collaborate with multiple campus partners to support program development and implementation.
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of management principles and practices.
Experience with project coordination or project management.
Proficiency in the use of AI tools and technologies (e.g., ChatGPT, data analysis, or visualization tools).
Bilingual (English/Spanish) with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Ability to work collaboratively and in person at the ASU Polytechnic Campus.
Working Environment:
This position is based on-site at the ASU Polytechnic campus.
The role requires up to 20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling available.
