As we expand our fleet of cutting-edge electric vehicles, we are seeking a dynamic and motivated Charging Validation Engineer to ensure our cars are not just extraordinary in performance but also in their ability to integrate seamlessly with local charging infrastructures.
As a Charging Validation Engineer, you will be the heartbeat of our electric vehicle reliability. Your primary objective will be to meticulously test and validate the charging systems of our EVs across various local infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Campaign Management: Plan and oversee comprehensive charging validation test campaigns, ensuring they align with project timelines and objectives.
- Charging System Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of EV charging behavior across different charging infrastructures.
- Issue Tracking, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement: Identify and document testing issues, synthesize test data into clear reports, and stay ahead of EV charging trends.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with development, engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure a cohesive approach to EV charging validation.
- Vehicle Preparation: Ensure vehicles are fully prepared for testing, including hardware setup and software configuration.
Requirements:
- Education/Languages: Academic degree in electrical engineering or computer science or equivalent education, Japanese – negotiation level, English – basic level, German language skills as a plus, Japanese driver's license.
- Technical: Strong analytical skills, knowledge of validation and testing strategies, familiarity with vehicle communication systems, and hands-on experience with charging hardware and software in the vehicle.
- Soft Skills/Personality: Ability to dissect complex problems, self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership, very good interpersonal and intercultural skills, and high enthusiasm for automotive industry and tech industry.
- Experiences: Experience in handling testing SW/Tools, working experience in automotive industry or related technical field as a plus, and experience in creating test specifications as a plus.
