Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement:
Lead the technical presentation, drive customer workshops, response to RFPs and provide deep-dive technical discussion with customers on MySQL HeatWave and OCI technologies.
Drive Adoption and Usage:
Increase usage, identify new MySQL HeatWave workload opportunities, enhance customer value, and boost cloud renewals and consumption expansions.
Deliver Proof-of Concepts: Performing proof of concepts, benchmarks or technical evaluations with customers.
Handle Technical Objections:
Strong technical objection handling skills and experience of deep technical interactions with database and analytics teams.
Building and repeatable cloud solutions:
Share the reusable technical assets with peers, partners and customers to speed up the implementation and adoption.
Collaborate with Teams:
Work with marketing teams to enhance awareness and with sales teams to generate and progress pipelines effectively.
Support Enterprise Accounts:
Assist in initiating new projects within key accounts, focusing on account-specific use cases and co-developing solutions for production use.
Provide Training and Support:
Train Japan customers and partners to promote and adopt the solutions.
Drive Continuous Improvement:
Enhance effectiveness and efficiency, promote knowledge sharing across internal teams, and offer feedback to product development, marketing, and sales teams.
Customer Success:
Gather and share real customer use cases to inform product development, marketing, and sales efforts. Create compelling customer success stories.
Performance Tracking:
Measure and track the outcomes of initiatives to assess impact and inform future strategies.
Qualifications:
Sales Experience:
Proven track record in selling cloud services and application development platforms in Japan market.
Technical Expertise:
Passionate with hands on experience of MySQL and open source database technologies including database management, data analytics, machine learning, Lakehouse and Gen AI.
Skilled in open-source programming languages such as SQL, Python, JavaScript and Java, as well as databases like MS SQL, Redis, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
Hands-on experience on BigQuery, AWS Athena, Databricks or Redshift would be a plus.Communication Skills:
Exceptional proficiency in Japanese & English with strong written, oral, presentation, influencing, and negotiation abilities. Capable of engaging with diverse audiences, including executives, account teams and customers.
Customer Focus:
Dedicated to fostering strong customer relationships.
Collaborative Skills:
Demonstrated ability to excel both independently and as part of a team. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
