Department Overview
The Product Development Division of Rakuten Payment handles everything from planning system services related to payment services to basic and detailed design, coding, testing, and operations.
Along with the expansion of our services, you will experience planning, building, and operating large-scale systems, and directly hear customer feedback to improve our services.

Position Details
We are looking for a Database Administrator
You will be responsible for optimizing our database systems, ensuring data integrity, availability, and security.
We particularly welcome candidates with extensive experience in MySQL and MariaDB.
Main Responsibilities
Design and operation of MySQL and MariaDB databases
Management of data replication using Golden Gate
Performance monitoring and tuning
Troubleshooting and resolving database issues
Collaboration with the development and operations team in India
Database management in private and public cloud environments
Mandatory Qualifications
Practical experience in database management (3+ years)
Knowledge and practical experience with MySQL (MariaDB is also acceptable)
Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting
Communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
Desired Qualifications
Knowledge and work experience with Oracle GoldenGate (for non-Oracle)
Experience with Google cloud-based databases operation ( CloudSQL, Spanner)
Experience with database automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.)
Experience using database monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana, etc.)
Experience in improving database operations using AI
Leadership experience or leadership skills
Ability to actively involve stakeholders and propose and establish rules
Experience, knowledge, and know-how in the FinTech industry (e.g., FISC)
Proactive and self-driven attitude
