Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Oracle databases across various environments
- Create and maintain database backups, replication, and disaster recovery systems
- Conduct disaster recovery switchover and failover activities
- Ensure database security, perform upgrades, patching, and tuning
- Monitor deployments to maintain optimal database performance and conduct capacity planning
- Write technical documentation and collaborate with peers online
- Provide overall support and technical leadership for Oracle DBA activities
- Work independently and as part of a team to solve complex database-related problems
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA, with focus on mid-senior level responsibilities for mission-critical services
- Proficiency in Oracle database tuning and optimization
- Strong experience with ExaData ESS, GRID, and Oracle home version management
- Proven maintenance experience for ExaData environments
- Excellent knowledge of Oracle RAC and DataGuard
- Complex problem-solving skills primarily related to Oracle databases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility
- Ability to communicate effectively in both Japanese and English
- Demonstrated experience in managing and leading database-related projects
- Oracle DBA and/or Public Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI) certifications
- Experience with Oracle GoldenGate or BigData technologies
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins, and Ansible
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Kibana
