Ahead Group are seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead the Data Governance Office for one of our Global E-Commerce clients. In this role, you will be instrumental in defining, initiating, and managing projects related to data governance and retention. Your primary focus will be on overseeing the Data Retention Program (DRP) and ensuring that projects are executed with precision, on time, and in alignment with internal standards and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define, initiate, and scope projects within the Data Governance Office.
- Develop and implement project plans and approaches to deliver defined scope and requirements.
- Clarify roles and responsibilities among project team members.
- Document and communicate all aspects of projects to ensure clarity and stakeholder agreement.
- Provide regular updates on project status through Weekly Status Reports, Steering Committees, or other meetings as required.
- Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies effectively.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the company to ensure successful project delivery with minimal business impact.
- Adhere to Clients and DGO's internal project management standards and methodologies.
Specific to Data Retention Program (DRP):
- Work with business and system teams to document datasets and associated requirements.
- Liaise with Legal, privacy, and compliance teams to identify and address regulatory requirements for data retention or deletion.
- Integrate seamlessly into the Data Retention Program team and its projects without disrupting stakeholders.
- Support core team members in their roles and ensure detailed instructions are created and maintained for participating departments.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in IT, governance, or relevant project management/BA roles.
- Proven track record in scoping, planning, and managing complex IT projects.
- Proficiency in Project Management practices, tools, and methodologies.
- Strong ability to work independently, learn quickly, and proactively seek solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
Desired Skills:
- Project Management qualification (PMP, Prince 2, Scrum Alliance).
- Experience in Business Analysis, including requirements elicitation and system/process design.
- Knowledge or experience in Information Security, Privacy, or Data Governance.
- Experience with defining data retention/deletion policies and logic.
