香川県や徳島県には、ごく一部の地域でのみ生産されている希少な砂糖があります。この砂糖は一般的には「和三盆(わさんぼん)」と呼ばれます。和三盆には独特の風味があり、スーッととろける口溶けの良さ、淡白さなど、他の砂糖にはない特質を持っています。同社は、香川県の特産品である「さぬき和三宝糖」を、昔ながらの伝統的な手法で製造を行っているメーカーです。同社の製造する最高級のお砂糖は、全国の和菓子屋、百貨店から絶大な支持を得ています。

同社では、この和三盆の商品を商標登録し、「和三宝(わさんぼう)」として販売しています。更に多くのお客様に和三宝糖のおいしさ、すばらしさを知っていただくために、和三宝糖を四季折々の木型で打ち出した、美しい形の「干菓子」を製造販売しています。1人でも多くのお客様に夢と感動、やすらぎを与えることができればと、ひたすら真っ直ぐに、和三宝製干菓子の製造を続ける同社。近年では、OEM製品として、博物館や動物園、アミューズメント施設等のオリジナルお菓子も製造も手掛けています。

干菓子は、和三盆を100%使用しますが、それ以外の菓子や料理は、砂糖の分量の10%~30%ぐらい和三盆を使用すると、素材の風味を生かしたものができあがります。和三盆は熱を加えると独特の香りは少なくなりますが、旨味を引き出す力が十分にありますので、和菓子のみならず洋菓子の生地やコーヒーシュガー、うどんのだしや煮物などの料理にも使用されています。最近ではいろいろな食品業界で、希少価値のある甘味料として使われ始め、認知度も上がっています。
