Job Title: Power Trader
Location: Tokyo, Japan
Job Type: Full-time
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct trading activities related to electricity and energy markets.
- Analyze market trends to optimize trading strategies and ensure profitability.
- Engage in demand response initiatives to align energy supply with demand fluctuations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other trading partners.
- Collaborate with teams to assess energy consumption patterns and implement strategies for efficiency.
- Monitor regulatory changes in the energy sector and adapt trading practices accordingly.
- Prepare and present reports on market performance and trading activities to management.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Energy Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in trading platforms and analytical tools relevant to energy markets.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Understanding of energy markets and trading mechanisms.
Desired Experience:
- 1 to 5 years of experience in energy trading, sales, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience with demand response strategies and trading in electricity markets.
- Experience in building and maintaining client relationships within the energy sector.
