USN Tokyo is looking for a Senior Copywriter to beef up and help lead its Creative team. You will be working on a variety of projects (campaigns, launches, digital, events, print TV, social, you name it, we do it), for a wide range of international brands, and with a very international, diverse team.

What You'll Do

  • You write and you write well. A lot. Fast. In Nihongo (it's your mother tongue, or you're just mind-blowingly good at it).
  • You can speak English well enough to brainstorm and explain the nuances of your copy to english-speaking colleagues and clients.
  • You have lots of wacky-cool-yet-strategically-sound ideas
  • Helping unearth strategic insights and working with teams to convert them into innovative, unexpected creative solutions across all channels and media.
  • Brainstorming creative concepts and bringing them to life by driving a team of junior and mid-weight creatives, in close collaboration with Creative Directors.
  • Develop brand voices, guidelines, treatments with impeccable style.
  • Proactively seeking new ideas and opportunities for existing and new business.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of copywriting and creative experience in an agency experience or client-side
  • Self-motivated, proactive, reliable and accountable
  • Have a passion for smart, concise copywriting
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Stay consistently relevant and up-to-date on all writing, advertising, and marketing trendsglobally and in Japan
  • Positive, flexible, and collaborative
  • Willing to learn, ready to teach
  • Native or fluent Japanese and business level proficiency in English
  • Comfortable representing yourself, your team, and your ideas in front of a group
  • An awesome human being with a sense of humor

  • アイデアを生み出し、実現までをサポート。べてのメディアやチャネルを通じて効果的なクリエイティブを生み出すことができる
  • クリエイティブコンセプトをブレインストーミングし、実現するために、クリエイティブディレクターと連携しながら若手や中堅クリエイターのチームをリード
  • ブランドの価値観(トーンや個性)、ガイドライン、表現方法を、洗練されたスタイルで構築
  • 既存および新規ビジネスに向けて、新しいアイデアや機会を積極的に模索

  • 2年以上の広告代理店またはクライアントサイドでのコピーライティングおよびクリエイティブ経験
