A Tokyo-based organization is looking for a Public Cloud Architect / Cloud Engineer to design and guide cloud platforms end-to-end-from stakeholder discovery and solution design through delivery support and operational readiness.
You'll work closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders to build secure, scalable cloud environments across major public cloud providers.
Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with stakeholders to understand business goals, constraints, and technical requirements, then convert them into practical cloud solutions
Produce architecture deliverables (high-level architecture, detailed design, and technical documentation)
Design with security and resilience in mind (access control, network/security patterns, availability, performance, and cost considerations)
Provide technical direction during delivery:
design reviews, troubleshooting, risk identification, and quality assurance
Support proposals and solution planning, including technical validation/PoCs when required
Establish operational readiness:
monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and runbooks; drive automation using IaC/DevOps practices
Contribute to team capability growth via mentoring, knowledge sharing, and standardization
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience designing and building cloud infrastructure/solutions in a professional environment
Hands-on exposure to at least one public cloud platform (AWS / Azure / GCP)
Strong fundamentals across infrastructure domains (networking, compute, identity/security)
Able to work in ambiguous environments and communicate clearly with mixed technical/non-technical stakeholders

Consulting/SI-style experience (requirements workshops, documentation-heavy delivery, structured problem-solving)
