We are a boutique CPA and tax advisory firm based in Tokyo (Nishi-Kasai), serving international clients such as foreign subsidiaries and expatriates. Our services include tax filings, bookkeeping, advisory, IFRS support, and cross-border tax planning.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Tax & Accounting Professional
who is fluent in English and interested in Japanese tax and international taxation. This role offers exposure to global clients and complex tax matters in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Japanese tax returns (corporate and individual)
- Assist with bookkeeping and financial reporting
- Support IFRS-related projects and advisory services
- Communicate with international clients in English (emails, calls, meetings)
- Research and analyze Japanese and international tax issues
Requirements
- Strong English communication skills (business level or native)
- Interest in Japanese tax and accounting (training provided)
- Basic accounting knowledge (Bookkeeping Level 2 or equivalent)
- Proficiency in Excel and common office tools
- Japanese language: conversational level preferred
Preferred
- Experience in tax, accounting, or finance
- Knowledge of IFRS or international tax concepts
- Japanese tax qualifications (e.g., Tax Accountant exam subjects)
- CPA or similar credentials
