SUMMARY

Our Client is seeking a skilled Japanese–English Interpreter to support a major CAPEX project for a pharmaceutical manufacturer specializing in Oral Solid Dosage (OSD).

The interpreter will play a key role in enabling effective communication between Japanese and English-speaking engineering, construction, and project management teams throughout the project lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide real-time interpretation (Japanese ⇄ English) during meetings, site activities, and technical discussions
Translate technical and project documentation with accuracy and clarity
Facilitate communication between Japanese contractors, vendors, and global project stakeholders
Support expatriate engineers and site personnel with daily coordination
Ensure all interpreted and translated content maintains technical accuracy, confidentiality, and cultural appropriateness
Assist with other project-related administrative and coordination tasks as needed


QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience as a Japanese–English interpreter/translator in an industrial or engineering setting
Strong understanding of technical terminology in mechanical, electrical, civil, or process engineering
Business-fluent or native-level proficiency in both Japanese and English
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, fast-paced project environment
Willingness and availability to work full-time on-site in Higashine


DURATION
1-year fixed-term contract with potential for extension based on project needs
