WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for passionate, experienced Software Engineers who share our vision of the possibilities of mobility. You will lead the creation of a large scale platform that will create an ecosystem with many colleagues. If you want to tackle the challenge of developing innovative services and expanding the possibilities of mobility on a large scale, which have been conceived but not yet realized by anyone, let's make history together.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of mobility services that connect diverse mobilities within and outside Woven City
• Make technical decisions regarding the construction and operation of a scalable data collection infrastructure for real-time collection and accumulation of large-scale data
• Lead communication with external partners, Toyota-related MaaS initiatives, and other stakeholders to drive consistent, end-to-end product development
• Establish a product development process that collaborates with cross-functional teams while rapidly validating value within an agile development structure
• Implement best practices in the development process and continuously improve system performance, reliability, and security

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field
• 7+ years of experience in large-scale backend development with a focus on scalability and availability
• Experience developing APIs such as REST APIs or GraphQL
• Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies
• Deep understanding of at least one programming language specification (e.g., C++, C#, Java, Go, Rust, Python; Go/Python preferred)
• Business-level English proficiency and conversational-level Japanese, along with work experience at a Japanese company
• Ability to collaborate with team members from diverse backgrounds to drive projects forward

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience in system development related to mobility services and geospatial services
• Experience building and operating message systems (Kafka/MQTT) and distributed systems
• Experience data modeling within complex business domains
• Development experience using AI Agents (Copilot, Claude Code)
• Experience designing and documenting APIs intended for use outside one's own team
• LLM application development experience
• Experience in mathematical optimization and algorithm development within the mobility field
• System design capabilities that consider future scalability and maintainability even in highly uncertain situations
