Woven by Toyota is enabling Toyota's once-in-a-century transformation into a mobility company. TEAM

Toyota's Woven City, which launched in September, is envisioned as a 'living laboratory' and 'ever evolving', incorporating diverse cutting-edge technologies. It will be the world's most programmable city. At the same time, it will also be 'human-centric', serving the needs of its citizens and keeping people safe, comfortable, and happy.

Our mission is to create the digital heart of Woven City: a software platform called "City Platform". All digitally connected services in the city will be orchestrated and delivered on this platform. The technical challenge is huge, and includes creating state-of-the-art systems for collaborating microservices, identity, authentication, privacy, security, data brokering, IoT control, and much more. The platform will be open to third-party inventors who will collaborate with us to unlock the potential of the world's smartest city.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for engineers who are passionate about technology and how it can transform the world into a better place. 

Our team offers services to developers in the city to allow them to more easily develop applications and services that are safe, secure, and beneficial to users & residents.

We support various users who want to manage their devices in the city and another occasion. We are customer-centric team, and put high priority on working together with users to develop features.

RESPONSIBILITIES

・Collaborate closely with other engineers to develop and document City Platform requirements, architecture, design, code, tests and operation

・Work closely with other engineers to design and implement City Platform services

・Collaborate with teams who are building digital services, and help them get the most out of the City platform.

・Operate and monitor production systems every day and support users 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

・Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

・Experience designing API and backend in Python, Go, NodeJS etc

・Good communication, a proactive mindset, and strong problem identification and solving skills

・Proficiency in conversational-level English

NICE TO HAVES

・Experience in one or more of the following areas: 

・Front-end development experience (Vue/React)

・One or more cloud services: AWS, GCP, or Azure

・IoT control and data collection

・Experience working in a multicultural environment
