ROLE IN TOKYO, JAPAN – RELOCATION PROVIDED

Meet the Team:

Agoda is looking for a creative and forward-thinking Senior Leader to lead our initiatives in attracting Chinese Outbound tourists throughout Asia. As the key player in this essential sector, you will significantly impact Agoda's expansion by ensuring ideal room availability, competitive pricing, and a targeted go-to-market strategy tailored for Chinese travelers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Strategy and Leadership:
  • Establish and implement a comprehensive plan to capture the Chinese Outbound tourism sector, covering crucial Asian markets.
  • Provide innovative leadership and guidance to diverse teams to meet market-specific objectives.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor strategies, and emerging possibilities.
  • Supply Management:
  • Lead initiatives to broaden and enhance Agoda's range of accommodations, meeting the preferences of Chinese tourists.
  • Collaborate with property partners to improve their offerings according to Chinese travelers' unique needs and expectations.
  • Pricing Strategy:
  • Formulate and execute competitive pricing approaches to attract and retain Chinese tourists.
  • Analyze pricing information and market dynamics to make informed decisions for revenue optimization.
  • Cross-Departmental Coordination:
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments such as Marketing, Product, and Sales to flawlessly execute the Chinese Outbound tourism strategy.
  • Foster teamwork and alignment across departments to provide a cohesive customer journey.
  • Customer Insights:
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback, preferences, and behaviors of Chinese tourists to enhance products and services.
  • Utilize customer insights to develop personalized experiences that resonate with the target market.
  • Performance Metrics:
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of the Chinese Outbound tourism strategy.
  • Adjust strategies based on KPI data to meet growth objectives.
  • Qualifications/Experience

    Must Have:

    • Outstanding strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex markets.
    • Demonstrated success in boosting revenue and achieving business goals.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to lead diverse teams effectively.
    • Data-oriented mindset, with expertise in analyzing and interpreting data.
    • Nice to Have:

      • Experience in Consulting or Senior E-commerce roles.
      • Proven track record in senior leadership positions in the travel or hospitality sector.
      • Knowledge of the Chinese tourism market, including traveler preferences, booking trends, and cultural subtleties.
      • Proficiency in Mandarin.
