Your Role at a GlanceAs Marketing Manager, you'll work closely with the Director of Marketing to support the development and execution of an integrated marketing strategy for 1 Hotel Tokyo.
From digital campaigns and local partnerships to talent activations, food and beverage programming and brand content, you'll help build our presence both online and within the Tokyo community.
As Marketing Manager, you'll be the creative and culturally attuned right hand to the Director of Marketing—someone who sees where hospitality meets art, fashion, design, and food.
From digital campaigns and creative collaborations, to food & beverage programming and brand activations, you'll bring both strategic thinking and cultural intuition to every touchpoint.
Key Responsibilities:
Partnership & Brand Activations
Identify and build meaningful collaborations with local creatives, sustainable brands, and culture institutions. Bring to life through always-on programming tailored toward hotel guests and locals.
Co-create activations that reflect 1 Hotels commitment to sustainability and community. Work closely with global brand team execution of tentpole activations.
Help to manage timelines, budgets, creative assets, execution logistic, and reporting.
Digital & Social Media
Manage the hotel's digital presence:
plan, publish, and analyze content across all major social platforms.
Ensure that tone, visuals, and storytelling reflect the 1 Hotels brand ethos and local relevance.
Champion brand voice, ensuring storytelling is both nature-led and culturally relevant.
Talent & Influencer (KOL) Relations
In collaboration with our agency partners, identify aligned KOLs, influencers, creators, and collaborators to enhance brand and property visibility. Assist with negotiations and execution of stays and experiences.
Support content production, from ideation and shoots to on-property activations.
Food & Beverage
Collaborate with the culinary and bar teams to conceptualize, position, and promote F&B experiences that highlight sustainability, seasonality, and each venues distinct experience.
Develop storytelling and marketing plans for new menus, programming and partnerships with chefs, mixologists, and local producers, etc.Develop and execute F&B activations that attract both hotel guests and the local community.
Partner with Director of Marketing, and F&B teams to drive awareness and positioning of all F&B venues as local, cultural destinations within Tokyo.
Campaign ManagementAssist in the rollout of multi-channel marketing campaigns across PR, social, digital, and experiential.
Coordinate with cross-function hotel teams, agencies, and global brand partners.
Ensure campaign alignment with brand standards and local nuances.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
Monitor KPIs across channels including, but not limited to social engagement, website traffic, campaign performance.
Deliver regular reports and insights to guide marketing strategy and optimize impact; translate analytics into actionable recommendations.
Brand Stewardship
Maintain consistent brand storytelling across every guest touchpoint.
Ensure all marketing reflects 1 Hotels pillars of nature, sustainability, and luxury.
Act as a brand culture ambassador for both internal teams and external partners.
About You
Fluent in both Japanese and English (verbal and written); essential for cross-cultural communication and local partnerships.
2+ years of experience in a marketing, communications, or brand; hospitality or luxury lifestyle experience required.
Deep cultural fluency with a pulse on local fashion, art, design, and contemporary lifestyle brands.
Connected to and inspired by the creative communities shaping culture in Tokyo and beyond.
Solid understanding of digital marketing tools, content strategy, and social platform algorithms.
Skilled in managing creators, influencers, and brand-aligned collaborations; experience working with and managing external agency partners.
Exceptionally organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable with fast-paced environments.
Passionate about sustainability, wellness, design, and culture.
A strong storyteller with a collaborative spirit and solutions-first mindset.
