Job Description

Turner & Townsend's Natural Resources Division is a leading provider of Programme Management, Project Services, Project Controls, Contract Services, Consultancy and Advisory Services to the resources industries covering Clean Energy & Decarbonisation (CE&D), Mining, Chemicals and Oil and Gas. We support projects throughout the whole lifecycle from pre-development, through feasibility, concept selection and definition, FEED, delivery of facilities, processing, distribution and REVEX/OPEX investment.

Due to the continued success and expansion of the Clean Energy & Decarbonisation business in Asia, we are interested in speaking with a Senior Consultant with a proven background in renewable power projects and programmes, who can provide the required leadership, assurance, and business development focus to ensure our strategic goals are achieved.

Qualifications

Experience and credibility in the Clean Energy & Decarbonisation sector, with an existing knowledge of, and relationships with, both national and international investing clients and an understanding of their ongoing investment portfolio, both in CAPEX and sustaining capital spend.

Your track record will have seen you holding senior roles on complex projects, in Offshore Wind and preferably additional experience across several of the following: Carbon Capture & Storage, Biofuels, Hydrogen, Solar, Electric Grid and Storage, LNG or similarly complex asset classes .

Technical understanding of the services that will be offered to clients (Cost Management, Project Controls, Project Services, Contract Management, Risk Management, Project Management, etc).

  • Qualifications

    Profile and key competencies:

    You will be self-motivated, driven by the goal of establishing Turner & Townsend as the #1 project management and commercial consultancy for clean energy and decarbonisation projects in Asia. As a Director you will also increasingly be responsible for developing and delivering on a business plan for > 25% annual growth. You will work closely with the various country P&L owners to align sector ambition with business operations. You will have:

  • Extensive experience working as a client and/or consultant in development and delivery of clean energy
  • A proven track record managing large projects and/or programmes of work
  • Experience in variety of methods of procurement and forms of contract
  • A broad understanding the electricity value chain from generation, through grid and into supply
  • Preferably demonstrated experience managing power sector projects including transmission lines, electricity grids and/or offshore wind farms
  • A strong and current understanding of regulatory and permitting requirements and industry trends
  • Experience in business development and building teams
  • An established network within the power industry supply chain
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • The ability to guide and lead internal teams, offering a strong point of focus for the business.
  • Proven success in advising, securing and delivering on behalf of clients in China
  • Operated as a consultant and delivered major capital programmes
  • Grown a business, year in through innovation and improving client's performance.
