Vestas Technology & Operations -> Frontend Engineering & Technology -> GRID Execution (Team "Amps")

The Grid team oversees all aspects of the grid during the sales, construction, and service phases of projects throughout the Asia Pacific. You will collaborate with a team of engineering experts across the region, working closely with various cross-functional teams to deliver competitive and compliant grid solutions. This role includes technical and resource management during the sales, construction and service phases for multiple projects.

Responsibilities
Direct Project scoping, Prioritization, Technical Review & Value engineering activities
Support Customers to optimize projects eBOP configurations and grid performance.
Research and prepare clarifications and deviations to customers' inquires or tenders.
Collect relevant electrical data and customer/site/grid requirements for project grid integration studies, and request studies for Grid connection assessment.
Engineering/Negotiation phase and therefore own the relevant technical annexes and contract schedules.
Grid Compliance Community Support including Grid Code scouting, interpretation & influencing.
Communication with System Operators, support System Operators on model usage and integration of the latest Vestas model to their System Model.

Qualifications

Essential
Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power System is required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering or power system area
High-quality oral and written communication skills in English and Japanese
Should be a highly motivated initiator and be able to work with little to no supervision.

Desirable    
Some experience and knowledge of Electrical Simulation models is appreciated,
Hands-on modelling skills in PSS(R)E, PSCAD, and PowerFactory.

Competencies
Technical Insights in Power System or Wind Turbine controls.
Market, customer and competitor landscape understanding
Good Understanding of power system analysis and connection study methodologies.
Strong capability  in reviewing and assessing compliance against grid codes.
Ability to influence and negotiate with major stakeholders TSO, Customers, consultants.
