As
Commercial and Sales Leader of Grid Automation Products - Japan,
your role will be instrumental in driving sales growth, managing client relationships, and developing sales strategies in coordination with local channel partners, the growth team, tendering and operations teams. You will have the opportunity to travel across Japan and develop strong relationships with key customers who will benefit from innovative grid automation products and solutions.
The Grid Automation business unit has a comprehensive portfolio of solutions which range from substation automation, communication networks, grid automation services, grid edge solutions to enterprise software solutions. These solutions address all key segments connected to the energy system including generation, transmission distribution, industries, transportation and infrastructure sectors.
The Commercial & Sales Leader role is a very strategic and key addition to the Grid Automation business in Japan.
How you'll make an impact:
- You will own the market definition, segmentation and prospecting plan for the focus segment in Grid Automation products.
- You will be responsible for the identification of key opportunities related to Grid Automation products and stakeholder management within those target EPCs across Japan.
- You will increase the pipeline and orders by attending meetings and offering consultative advice that leads to the preparation of tailored technical proposals.
- You will lead or support initiatives of Grid Automation and collaborate with business units, global business developers and experts.
- You will have a sound understanding of market dynamics, trends and competition and provide feedback to guide product, price and go-to market strategies.
Your background:
- Possess a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
- Have strong knowledge in
Grid Automation
products and substation protection. - Proven experience in Sales and Marketing with strong commercial acumen.
- Skilled in contract negotiation, contract management and solution selling.
- Able to work and collaborate with multiple stakeholders and across different positions.
- Able to adapt to frequent international business trips.
- Preference for candidates who can demonstrate Japanese EPC regional experience and experience in the Electrical and Energy industry.
- Essential is Native-Level Japanese Proficiency (
regardless of nationality) to understand Japanese technical requirements and help support communication with Japanese clients and certification bodies. - Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese.
