Job Description
Responsible and accountable for Medical Affairs strategy of Immunology therapeutic area (TA) including compounds/product development/business plan in Dermatology and Inflammatory bowel disease.
Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders including key opinion leaders to develop and implement the overall Medical Affairs strategy for product lifecycle aligned with company brand strategy.
Responsible for people and operational budget management of TA department.Responsible for ensuring that all Medical Affairs activities are compliant with Japan Legislation and HCC rules.

MD
PhD, MBA
Experience Requirements
Good people management experience in Medical Affairs, R&D, or Marketing within the pharmaceutical industry.
Good experience in the specific therapeutic area preferred.
Strong understanding of local regulatory policies and industry codes related to drug registration, promotion, and clinical studies.
Familiarity with clinical study operations and execution.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
Develop and manage TA strategy aligned with brand and global strategy.
Lead Medical Affairs Plan (MAP) development and execution.
Manage TA operational budget and allocate resources.
Supervise TA department activities and ensure functional excellence.
Provide input into early development and brand strategy.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build relationships with domestic and international KOLs.
Collaborate with regional leadership and internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, R&D, Regulatory Affairs).
Lead KOL management planning and execution with MSL team.
Medical Information & Scientific Communication
Provide advanced scientific information to HCPs in compliance with regulations.
Oversee medical information management and customer inquiries.
Maintain product FAQs and ensure scientific quality of materials.
Disseminate scientific knowledge internally.
Evidence Generation & Publications
Manage MAF-initiated clinical and non-clinical studies.
Evaluate IIS proposals and develop publication plans.
Collaborate with KOLs and MAO for study execution and publication.
Team Development & Training
Lead and develop TA and MSL team capabilities.
Conduct training programs to enhance strategic and scientific skills.
Support MR medical knowledge training in collaboration with SL&T.
Compliance & Governance
Monitor changes in local regulations and update SOPs accordingly.
Ensure compliance with internal and external policies.
Oversee contract management and trial master file systems.
Project Management
Lead day-to-day project management for MAF activities.
Develop work plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
Track progress, manage budgets, and report to stakeholders
