The opportunity

Hitachi Energy's Grid Integration business unit has delivered more than 4,000 projects over the last 15 years.

Our Grid Integration portfolio spans a wide range of transmission and substation applications, which facilitate reliable and efficient system integration of the future digital electric network with minimum environmental impact.


We incorporate the integrated systems, solutions and services of our business' DC and AC fields, including HVDC, Substations, FACTS, Grid and Power Quality solutions such as offshore wind connections, and Semiconductors.

We offer Power Consulting for key segments in the energy system, such as renewables, transmission distribution and as well as e-transportation solutions.

How You'll Make An Impact

You will sell products/systems/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned Business Units/Product Groups.

You will establish and maintains effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product/systems/ services offering, and align to provide a solution.

Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
You will prepare sales plans using company tools. Performs regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.

You will create added value for the customer and ensures the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques.

Communicates details in accordance with Hitachi-ABB's offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions).
You will ensure efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers.
Identifies and drives the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.
You will manage administrative procedures in sales processes and supports collection and project management activities when needed.
You will prepare offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager. Ensures appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.
You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

You hold a bachelor's or master's degree majored in engineering (Electrical background is a Plus).
Require sales experience in power industry segment (Especially for Service business).
Experience in renewable, Data Center, industrial and power utility market in Japan, Experience in utilizing CRM system (SFDC).
Required products knowledge with HV Grid substation covering GIS, transforming, MV and protection and control, Electric energy management system.
Required business level English / Native level Japanese.
