ResponsibilitiesPosition Purpose:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Market Analyst with a specialization in foreign exchange, indices, top commodities (e.g. crude oil, gold) and global macro themes.
As a key member of our research and analysis department, you will play a crucial role in monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting market trends to provide actionable insights for our clients and internal stakeholders in both Japanese and English.
Your insights on FX, commodities and indices in particular as well as coverage in adjacent but popular markets such as individual equities and crypto assets will benefit from the global presence and renown of our team.
Further themes of macroeconomic headlines, earnings reports, general education and trading strategies will also be part of the repertoire.Distribution channels will include internal webinars, external media appearances, posts on social platforms such as Twitter, videos on YouTube and streams on TradingView among other strategic outlets.
Primary duties will include:
Conduct extensive research and analysis of the Forex market, major indices, key commodities and global macro themes relevant to markets.
Utilize both fundamental (macro economic) and technical analysis to explain analysis to broad audience of varying experience levels.
Produce regular analysis videos and client presentations on the aforementioned markets, macro themes, education and strategy development.
Guest on third party financial media outlets to deliver insights while reflecting the credibility and insights of our larger brand.
Represent a regional (Japanese/APAC) expert on our internal financial television effortExtend insights to key social media channels to build personal brand while also contributing to company's brand.
Collaborate with other team members, including traders, portfolio managers, and risk management professionals, to provide timely and accurate market insights and support decision-making processes.
Stay updated with industry news, regulatory changes, and market innovations to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the Forex market landscape.
Participate in meetings, presentations, and discussions to share your analysis, insights, and recommendations with broad audiences, internal stakeholders and clients.
Contribute to the development of research methodologies, tools, and systems to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of market analysis processes.
Maintain a strong awareness of market competitors, their strategies, and their impact on the Forex market; and use this knowledge to identify opportunities for competitive advantage.
QualificationsTo land this role you will need :
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Market Analyst, specifically in the forex market, with a deep understanding of currency trading and market dynamics.
Strong knowledge of fundamental and technical analysis techniques, indicators, and tools relevant to Forex market analysis.Proficiency in using financial analysis software, data platforms, and charting tools.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information, identify trends, and make sound judgments.
Strong communication and presentiation skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate analysis, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Bi-lingual Japanese and English, proficient in written and verbal communication in both languages.
Detail-oriented and capable of prioritizing tasks in order to achieve top line results.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Proactive and self-motivated, with a passion for financial markets and a drive to stay updated with industry trends.
Professional certifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial Risk Manager (FRM) are highly desirable.
