Our main portal, , helps millions find the insurance policy with the best value and highest coverage for them. Job Summary: The Insurance Agent/Broker (License Application Specialist) will play a key role in the establishment and regulatory compliance of our insurance brokerage operations in Japan. This position is critical to our success in the Japanese market.
Key Responsibilities:
- License Application: Lead and manage the application process for obtaining an insurance broker license in Japan, ensuring compliance with all local regulations and requirements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with Japanese insurance laws and regulations, advising the company on necessary procedures to maintain compliance.
- Documentation: Prepare and submit all required documentation, reports, and applications to relevant Japanese regulatory authorities.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities, industry associations, and local insurance professionals to facilitate the licensing process.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to understand the local insurance landscape, competition, and market trends.
- Business Setup: Collaborate with internal teams to set up the insurance brokerage business in Japan, including office space, staffing, and IT infrastructure.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Bjak's legal team and senior management to ensure all necessary legal and regulatory aspects are in order.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- A valid insurance agent or broker license in Japan is required.
- Proven experience in the insurance industry, with expertise in license application procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of Japanese insurance laws and regulations.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Japanese and English languages is advantageous.
