Overview
A leading technology-driven organization is seeking an AI Program Manager to lead company-wide AI innovation and productivity initiatives.
This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, product development, and AI enablement, and is ideal for a change agent who can turn emerging AI capabilities into measurable business impact.
The initial focus will be on leading an internal AI Innovation Hub, while also managing a broader portfolio of AI-driven programs across engineering, product, and design teams.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Program & Initiative Leadership
Identify, scope, and manage cross-functional AI initiatives such as workflow automation, tool adoption, and pilot programs
Oversee a portfolio of AI experiments and PoCs to avoid duplication and ensure alignment with business priorities
- Incubation & Experimentation Framework
Ensure initiatives focus on real user value and measurable productivity or business outcomes
Coordinate internal advisors (engineers, AI specialists, product leaders) to mentor teams at each stage
- Change Management & Culture Building
Translate AI capabilities into practical playbooks, templates, and onboarding guides for non-specialists
Plan and execute internal events such as hackathons, demo days, and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Operational Excellence & Measurement
Establish feedback loops to refine program structure and AI strategy
Communicate progress, outcomes, and resource needs to senior stakeholders
Required Experience & Skills
Program & Change Management
5+ years of experience in program management, product operations, innovation management, or technical project management
Proven ability to drive adoption of new technologies or processes within complex organizations
Comfortable operating across strategy and hands-on execution
Product & Technical Literacy
Strong experience working closely with software engineering, product, and design teams
Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and how AI fits into product and operational workflows
Ability to evaluate AI initiatives based on feasibility, ROI, and adoption rather than pure technical novelty
Leadership & Communication
Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills
Able to lead workshops, align senior leadership, and influence without direct authority
Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, problem-solving approach
Preferred Qualifications
Experience running internal accelerators, innovation labs, or incubation programs
Familiarity with engineering productivity metrics (e.g., SPACE, DORA)
Technical background or hands-on development experience is a plus but not required
Language Requirements
Business-level English
Japanese proficiency (conversational to business level) is a plus
