We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented
Accounting Officer (Accounts Payable)
to join our Finance & Accounting team in Tokyo. This role is well suited to new graduates or early-career professionals who are interested in building hands-on experience in accounting and administrative finance functions within an international organization.
What You'll Do
- As a member of the Finance & Accounting team, you will primarily support the
Accounts Payable (AP)
function - Performing general administrative duties related to accounting documentation
- Rechecking and approving costs in the booking system
- Preparing, verifying, organizing, and maintaining accounting and financial records
- Supporting basic accounting transactions, data entry, and document filing
- Coordinating with internal departments and external parties to ensure accuracy of documents and information
- Supporting the team during the month-end closing process
- Assisting with other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Vocational Certificate in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- New graduates are welcome to apply
- 1–3 years of experience in finance or accounting functions is an advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Good command of written and spoken English and Japanese
- Basic knowledge of, or strong interest in, accounting and administrative work
- Ability to use basic computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Office)
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible, eager to learn, and able to work effectively as part of a team
