Experience Required:
Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in SECS/GEM -
(Semiconductor Equipment Communication Standard/Generic Equipment Model
) protocol implementation and equipment integration within semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environments.
Role Summary
The
SECS/GEM
Protocol Specialist will be responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of robust equipment integration solutions using SECS/GEM standards. This role will enable seamless communication between
manufacturing execution systems (MES)
and factory equipment, ensuring optimised production processes, reliable data exchange, and adherence to industry protocols.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
Design scalable SECS/GEM-based equipment integration solutions for semiconductor factory automation.
Develop architectures that support multi-tool connectivity, minimising manual intervention and streamlining equipment communication.
Integrate MES platforms (such as
EyeLit MES and PROMIS MES)
with factory equipment using SECS/GEM, and interface with advanced process control systems.
Reduce manual touchpoints in lot processing scenarios (e.g., cassette placement to lot completion).
Implement automation strategies to improve throughput and reduce person-to-machine ratio.
Define requirements, create design specifications, and oversee UAT and deployment phases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with production goals and compliance standards.
