About Wonder

Headquartered in Hong Kong, Bindo Labs raised its USD 6MM series A funding round in 2021 led by Hong Kong Telecom (HKT) / Pacific Century Group. Bindo Labs has offices across Mainland China and Asia Pacific, including Shenzhen, Changsha and Singapore.

What You Will Do:

  • Risk Management and Monitoring:  Conduct compliance risk assessments across operations to identify potential vulnerabilities, monitor and interpret regulatory requirements (e.g., AML/CFT, data protection, payment services regulations) and ensure the company's operations in line with applicable laws.
  • Onboarding Review and transaction Screening: To review customer onboarding and due diligence processes to ensure compliance with AML/KYC regulations; perform customer and transaction screening using sanctions lists, PEP databases, and adverse media reports.
  • Risk Controls: Develop, Implement and manage of compliance policies and procedures, propose controls and mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
  • Transactions Monitoring: To monitor and analyse transactions to detect suspicious activity and prepare Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) as needed.
  • Audit Support: To conduct compliance reviews and audits to evaluate adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Reporting Support: To investigate, prepare and submit compliance reports to senior management and regulatory authorities as required.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Degree or above in business, law, finance or accounting or related field with proven experience as compliance officer or similar role experience.
  • 5 - 8 Years of relevant experience with Business level Japanese (JLPT N1) required.
  • Plus: experience in Fintech or e-Payment in Japan Companies.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks governing relevant institutions in Japan.
  • Fluency in both Japanese and English, Mandarin is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal, influencing and ability to drive a diverse group including internal and external stakeholders
  • Committed, self-motivated and action-oriented personality with strong ownership
  • Proficient in MS Office, with expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Plus: Have a "startup" mindset and ability to knock down any obstacles in your path
