【About the company】
Development of Small-Scale Decentralized Water Circulation Systems
Development of Autonomous Control Systems for Water Treatment
【 Job Description】
【Recruitment Background】
The company is a startup founded in 2014 with the goal of providing creative and structural solutions to the "global water crisis," often cited as the biggest challenge of the 21st century.
The Company's Master Plan
Guided by the purpose of "tackling and solving the water crisis at a structural level," the company has developed the world's first small-scale, decentralized water purification unit. This innovative system can recycle all household wastewater, and the company is working to build an infrastructure that is independent of conventional water and sewage systems.
The company has grown into a firm that attracts engineers and researchers from around the world, taking on challenges such as utilization during disasters, deployment in water-scarce regions, and global expansion.
Despite this success, they still have not fully achieved their mission of "creating a world where no one suffers from a lack of water, whether in times of peace or crisis." To bring about the next phase of non-linear growth, they need colleagues with the passion and ambition to be the world's first and the world's best. They are eager to start this global challenge with those who possess an altruistic spirit and a sense of excitement for the difficult goal of fundamentally solving the water crisis.
【Product Portfolio】
The company has developed three core products:
・Water Recycling Handwashing Stand
・Portable Water Reclamation System
・Household Water Recycling System
The Water Recycling Handwashing Stand enables handwashing even in areas without plumbing, requiring only a power source and initial water. The Portable Water Reclamation System is designed for easy transport and allows for continuous water supply during disasters using a minimal amount of water.
The impact of these products is proven: during the Noto Peninsula Earthquake on January 1, 2024, both systems were deployed. They were used to provide temporary showers and secure essential water for daily life in many evacuation centers, supporting the lives of those affected.
The Household Water Recycling System was developed with the goal of purifying household wastewater (from the bath, laundry, and kitchen) so it can be reused within the home (for the bath, laundry, kitchen, and toilet). This product was just announced in July 2025 and is scheduled for deployment and implementation both in Japan, starting with the Noto region, and overseas.
【Your Role】
You will support the development, design, and evaluation of sensors used to secure water quality and control water treatment processes for the company's proprietary products.
Specifically, you will develop, design, and evaluate water quality sensors that utilize electrochemical principles. These sensors will be integrated into products aimed at structurally solving the water crisis and will be used to ensure the water quality and control the water treatment the company is striving for.
【Sensor Development Responsibilities】
・Become the in-house expert on electrochemistry.
・Define requirements by prioritizing customer value.
・Conduct conceptual design to determine the necessary functions and performance.
・Handle fundamental design by creating drawings based on the initial concept.
・Complete detailed design by finalizing materials, shape, and size based on the fundamental design.
・Create production designs, including assembly drawings for components.
・Evaluate the developed sensor and perform integration to ensure it achieves the desired characteristics within the final product.
【 Requirements】
■Required
・Bachelor's degree or higher in science or engineering (electrical engineering, chemistry, or related fields)
・Practical experience in the field of electrochemistry
・Experience using laboratory and measurement equipment
・Logical thinking and analytical skills
・Ability to work effectively in a team
・Skills to plan and execute experiments for proper evaluation of developed sensors
・Experience integrating sensor modules and optimizing overall system performance
・Practical knowledge and experience scaling electrochemical sensors from prototyping to mass production
・Proficiency in signal acquisition, analog/digital signal conditioning, and noise reduction techniques
■Preferred
・Experience in sensor evaluation and characterization testing
・Knowledge of electrochemical measurement
・Expertise and practical experience in electrode measurement techniques (cyclic voltammetry, galvanic cells, etc.)
・Experience using data analysis tools
・Experience in electrical circuit design
・Interest in sustainability and water treatment fields
■Ideal Applicants
・Engineers with knowledge of electrochemistry
・Engineers capable of translating research beyond the lab into actual products
・Willingness to design and produce products that solve global water issues
