Job Description: Reinforcement Learning Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize reinforcement learning algorithms for various applications, particularly focusing on enhancing AI solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate reinforcement learning methodologies into existing AI systems and applications.
• Conduct experiments and analysis to evaluate the performance of developed algorithms against established benchmarks.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain the quality and efficiency of codebases.
• Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in reinforcement learning and AI technologies to continually innovate and improve processes.
• Document research findings, algorithm implementations, and system specifications to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
• Assist in troubleshooting issues related to reinforcement learning models and systems to enhance performance and reliability.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or a related field (Master's or PhD preferred).
• Strong theoretical knowledge and practical experience in reinforcement learning and machine learning.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenAI Gym).
• Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
• Strong business Japanese language communication skills (N1 level)

Desired Experience

• Experience in developing and deploying reinforcement learning models in real-world applications.
• Knowledge of deep learning techniques and their application in reinforcement learning.
• Hands-on experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
• Previous work experience in a tech-driven environment, particularly in a startup or innovative company, is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment as well as independently.

Salary & Benefits

Salary will be offered on an annual basis, in Yen (¥). Specific compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Alongside competitive salary packages.

Estimated annual salary : JPY5,000,000 - JPY8,000,000 (Based on experiences and skills)
