L2 Network Engineer
We are seeking an experienced
L2 Network Engineer
to support and maintain its global network infrastructure. This role will ensure secure connectivity between international offices, manage VPN solutions, authentication systems, and DNS configurations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in enterprise networking and work closely with global IT teams to deliver reliable and secure network services
Responsibilities
Network Operations & Support
- Provide Level 2 support for global network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, VPN).
- Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents escalated from L1 support.
- Monitor network performance and implement proactive improvements.
VPN & Secure Connectivity
- Configure, maintain, and optimize VPN solutions for secure inter-office communication.
- Ensure compliance with security standards for remote access.
Domain & DNS Management
- Manage global domain infrastructure and DNS configurations.
- Maintain name resolution and domain integrity across multiple regions.
Access Control & Authentication
- Support and maintain authentication systems (Active Directory, LDAP).
- Implement and enforce user and device access control policies.
Documentation & Collaboration
- Maintain accurate network diagrams, configuration documentation, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with global IT teams to align network standards and security policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related area
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, VPN).
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade firewalls, routers, and switches (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet preferred).
- Proficiency in DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory management.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in network engineering or operations (global environment preferred).
- Fluet in Japanese and Business-level English
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
