In this role, you will collaborate with business partners and product teams to analyze and define the requirements for technical solutions, and play a key role in implementing them.
You will also be actively involved in the testing cycle to ensure that the developed solutions meet the original requirements.
As a member of a global team, you will continuously seek ways to enhance the guest experience—from trip planning, to in-park interactions, and post-visit aftercare.
The Digital & Technology team at the company operates in a highly international environment, working alongside multinational team members and collaborating with global vendors that support theme parks and experiences around the world. As such, this role requires the ability to work effectively in a global context.
While English is the primary language of communication, proficiency in Japanese is preferred for collaboration within the Japan-based team.

【Position Overview】
This position serves as the technical lead for Digital Technology Integration Services at Universal Studios Japan (USJ). The primary responsibility is to design, develop, test, analyze, and deliver technology solutions that enhance both guest and team member experiences.
The role involves end-to-end development, testing, and analysis of both hardware and software solutions. Additionally, the position is responsible for fully leveraging enterprise systems, leading project development, and ensuring a smooth transition of the delivered solutions to the park's technology operations team.
As a technical lead at both the code and functional levels, this role requires close collaboration with architecture teams and third-party vendors to successfully drive projects forward.
【Responsibilities】
● Collaboration & Technical Leadership
Collaborate with business analysts, programmer analysts, developers, and architects to lead the conceptualization and development of software programs and applications
Perform defect triage by quickly identifying and assigning software defects occurring during the software development and quality assurance lifecycle to the appropriate team for resolution
Mentor other technical staff, share domain knowledge, and help drive optimal solution implementation
● Design, Development & Testing
Design and execute tests for both new and existing systems, including error correction, identifying areas for improvement, and debugging
Lead documentation efforts for each project, including business and technical requirements, specifications, and test cases, while coordinating with relevant internal departments
● Operations Management & Continuous Improvement
Support release and change management processes to ensure stable application operations
Adhere to UDX compliance requirements and associated processes
Promote and enforce internal policies, procedures, and training related to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS), working collaboratively with team members
Perform other duties as assigned
【 Requirements】
【Required】
Experience:
・7+ years of relevant professional experience
・Experience in software development across small to large-scale projects, and within small to large development teams
・Strong skills in conflict resolution, debugging, triage, troubleshooting, and problem-solving
・Excellent presentation, facilitation, communication, and negotiation skills
Skills:
・Required , TypeScript, CouchDB (NoSQL database)
・Preferred skills:Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab, Redis, Kafka
Leadership & Initiative:
・Experience leading enterprise engineering projects or teams a plus
・Self-directed ability to manage a wide range of tasks and adapt to change
・Proven track record of delivering results
Technical Leadership:
・Proven track record as a technical lead and ability to support the technical growth of other team members
・Must be a technical expert on multiple applications
Communication skills:
・Advanced written and verbal communication skills (ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences)
Adaptability:
・Willingness to learn new technologies and flexibility to work with tools with which one has little previous experience
Empathy:
