Job Responsibilities:
- Management of TYO airfreight import and export department together with the managers.
- Ensuring all activities follow compliance and all local regulatory
- Vendor and cost management together with the procurement department
- Securing profit, P&L control
- Ensure and monitor that all monthly KPI are met
- Managing certifications and licenses
- Continuous review and improving operation quality
- Liaise and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth running of operations
- Support the senior management where necessary
- Set-up and monitoring of internal standard procedures to enhance productivity and transparency
- Ensure the compliance with applicable legal requirements
- Collaboration with OSA airfreight team
Team Management:
- Plan and monitor team performance including give coaching and counselling needed to deliver expected outcomes
- Plan and monitor team development together with the manager and senior management
- Ensure all changes in Department / Section communicated properly to the team
- Analyzing training needs
- Maintain acceptable Health, Safety and Environmental risk levels in his/her area of responsibility
Requirements
- Experience in either airfreight export or import, preferably in an international freight forwarder
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organization skill and paying attention to details
- Experience in people management
- Ability to work under pressure with responsibilities
- Ability to work independently
- Pleasant personality and a good team player
- Basic computer skills, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Power point, Teams
