Overview:

As the Associate Director of Client Services in our Japan office, you will play a pivotal role in managing and developing strong client relationships for Eurasia Group. This position is a hybrid role that focuses both on client management and commercial development and developing deep sectoral and content expertise in the industrials and supply chains segment. You will work closely with the Japan and Industrial teams and other senior leaders in the firm to drive revenue growth, provide first-class service, and offer tailored solutions to our clients in Japan and other Asian countries.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Japan, Industrial team, and Eurasia Group leadership to expand market share and drive revenue growth by expanding and deepening relationships and bringing in new clients, primarily in Japan and other Asian countries.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the industrial and supply chain (ISC) segment, integrate well with our global ISC team, become an expert in delivering political risk analysis and services to companies in that sector.

  • Utilize Eurasia Group's global resources, country-specific research, market strategy, and geo-economics to deliver value-added coverage and develop solution-oriented engagements with clients.

  • Create and implement comprehensive strategic account plans, supporting senior leadership in business and strategy planning, as well as major new pitches.

  • Facilitate regular analysts' briefings and meetings with Japanese clients, including arranging meetings, preparing meeting notes, schedules, and translating clients' questions for analysts.

  • Provide support for virtual or in-person client events in Tokyo, such as the annual Geopolitical Summit, ad-hoc receptions, conference calls, and marketing events.

  • Collaborate effectively with analysts, strategy teams, and other pillars of the firm as a value-added partner.

  • Drive development of new business for the firm's global events and media with current and new strategic partners in Japan in close collaboration with firm's senior leadership

  • 包括的且つ戦略的なアカウント・プランの作成と実施、ビジネスおよび戦略プランニングに係る当社シニア・リーダーへのサポート、主要な新規企業への営業業務。

  • 当社アナリストによる、日本の顧客への定期的なブリーフィングおよび会議の進行に係る業務(会議の手配、会議メモやスケジュールの準備、顧客からアナリストへの質問の翻訳等)。

  • 年次で開催される地政学サミット、臨時のレセプション、電話会議、マーケティングイベント等、東京で開催されるバーチャルもしくは直接参加型の顧客向けイベントのサポート業務。

  • 顧客へ高い付加価値を提供できるパートナーとして、アナリスト、戦略チーム及び当社における他の主要なチームとの効率的な協働。

  • 当社のシニア・リーダーと緊密に連携し、日本における既存および新規の戦略的パートナーと共に、当社のグローバル・イベントやメディアに関連する新規ビジネスの開拓を推進する。

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience working in a Japanese business environment, with a track record in business development, sales, and client management.

  • Background in the Japanese business sector and a strong familiarity with Japanese business culture.

  • Fluency in both Japanese and English is essential, with native-level proficiency preferred.

  • Strong interest in foreign affairs and politics.

  • Preferred experience with industrial trends and the supply chain sector.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

  • Minimum undergraduate degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree is preferred, but not required.

  • Eligibility to work in Japan is mandatory.

  • 日本語・英語力が堪能であることが必須。両言語ともネイティブ・レベルであることが望ましい。

  • 海外情勢や政治に強い関心があること。

  • 産業動向やサプライチェーン分野の経験を有していることが望ましい。

  • マルチタスク、プライオリティの管理能力および卓越した組織管理能力を有していること。

  • 少なくとも関連分野の学士を有していること。修士号取得者が望ましいが必須ではない。

  • 日本における就労資格は必須。
