Department Overview
The Media & Trend Department oversees Rakuten's media business, serving as a key user touchpoint within the Rakuten Group.
Guided by the mission "Supporting everyday life," we operate multiple media services—including point-based media, news, and lifestyle content—used by more than 10 million users on a monthly basis.Our portfolio of media services includes Rakuten Super Point Screen, Rakuten Web Search, Rakuten Personal Finance, Infoseek, Rakuten Real Estate, Rakuten Blog, Rakuten Recipe, and Rakuten Calendar.

Position Details
Position Overview
This role is a marketing position within the Media Business, responsible for expanding the user base and enhancing brand value for assigned media products.
You will drive data-driven marketing strategies and initiatives from planning to execution and performance evaluation, with the goal of maximizing growth metrics such as user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
Depending on the assigned product and your experience and interests, this role offers a broad scope ranging from hands-on execution and optimization of individual initiatives to designing and driving overall marketing strategies.

Background of Mid-Career Hires
- Experience working at digital advertising agencies
- Marketing experience at operating companies (in-house marketing roles)
- Solution-oriented B2B sales experience
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Hands-on marketing experience for B2C services
- Basic knowledge of digital advertising and experience in campaign operation and optimization
- Experience evaluating marketing performance using data and KPIs and driving improvements based on insights
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience contributing to the design or execution of broader marketing strategies or initiatives
- Experience with user segmentation, CRM initiatives, or customer lifecycle management
- Data analysis experience using SQL, BI tools, or similar technologies
- Experience leading teams or projects, or people management experience
- Experience launching marketing initiatives for new products or during new business phases
