The Marketing Division leads brand, creative, marketing, and membership as a cross-group organization with a mission to expand Rakuten Group's membership value and ecosystem of over 70 services.

We believe that the mobile domain is a platform that plays a fundamental role in the ecosystem, and as the Marketing Division, we are further promoting collaboration with Rakuten Mobile.

Department Overview

The Brand Marketing Strategy Department is responsible for the development of all the creative products that customers see and hold in their hands in the Rakuten Mobile business.

It has already been 5 years since we started our service, but we are constantly improving our branding area while keeping an eye on market trends (user trends). We have a wide range of ages among our team members, and we have a team environment where we can always discuss things with each other. We are a department where you can enjoy a sense of accomplishment and an environment where you can create better products one project at a time without inertia or giving up.

The Brand Marketing Communication Section is responsible for driving all marketing communication initiatives from planning to execution in one team. The team environment is full of speed and logic where you can enjoy the dynamism as a marketer, especially in a high priority business in Rakuten group. As one of the groups in the section, Marketing Strategy Planning Group is mainly responsible for developing marketing strategies and KPIs, while designing and operating user surveys and analyzing related data. The group is also responsible for reporting the results to the company executives.

Position Details

The Marketing Strategy Planning Group is responsible for the following tasks, and you will be responsible for one or more of these.

- Gathering and analyzing information on the environment, market, and users

- Constructing and verifying marketing strategies

- Optimizing media budgets

- Formulating, forecasting, and verifying KPIs

- Other quantitative and qualitative data analysis

- Reporting to management

Presentation materials are generally created in English.

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Applicants who meet either of the following criteria

① Experience working in a business company or consulting firm:

- At least 3 years of experience in planning, executing and measuring the effectiveness of marketing communication strategies.

- Experience in data analysis work related to strategy planning (market research, data analysis, competitive research, etc.).

- Experience in setting KPIs, measuring effectiveness and making improvement proposals.

② Experience in quantitative data collection and analysis, modeling and data visualization:

- Experience designing, extracting and analyzing quantitative data for at least 3 years.

- Experience modeling using machine learning and statistical analysis.

- Experience visualizing data using data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).

- Experience creating reports and making proposals based on analysis results.

Desired Qualifications:

- Presentation skills to explain analysis results and strategies to management in an easy-to-understand manner

- Knowledge and experience of the mobile phone industry

- Experience of promoting projects by involving multiple stakeholders
