Role Overview

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will lead end-to-end AI and data science initiatives-from requirement gathering and stakeholder alignment to development, deployment, and post-delivery validation. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to build AI products, uncover insights from healthcare data, and support strategic decision-making across commercial and operational domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute data science projects that address business challenges and deliver measurable value.
• Develop AI prototypes and products using advanced techniques such as machine learning and NLP.
• Analyze real-world healthcare data (e.g., EMR, claims) to support marketing, patient journey mapping, and disease awareness.
• Apply ethical AI principles, ensuring reliability, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with internal and global teams to adapt AI solutions to local needs and share best practices.
• Support talent development through mentoring and structured training programs.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience leading machine learning and data engineering projects with large-scale datasets.
• Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Expertise in statistical analysis, NLP, and predictive modeling.
• Experience with distributed computing tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and tools (Scrum, JIRA, Confluence).
• Business-level Japanese and basic business English (reading/writing); conversational English is a plus.
