Lead accounting operations and team development for a dynamic Sports & Entertainment company.
■About our client
A leading company in the Sports & Leisure industry. Operating in a global environment, they are seeking a driven Accounting Manager to support the business through accurate financial reporting and efficient operations.
■Position overview
As an Accounting Manager, you will manage end-to-end accounting operations, from monthly/annual closings to tax and internal controls. You will also lead SAP implementation and process improvement projects, while mentoring and developing a high-performing accounting team.
■Main tasks include
・Ensure accurate, transparent, and timely financial reporting, including monthly, annual, and statutory financial statements.
・Manage accounting operations end-to-end: fixed assets, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll support, and tax accounts.
・Lead internal control compliance and ensure adherence to local laws, IFRS, and HQ guidelines.
・Drive process optimization and efficiency improvements across accounting and finance operations.
・Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing accounting team, setting clear goals, providing feedback, and linking performance to rewards.
・Manage key finance projects, including SAP FI implementations and updates, and other accounting tools.
■Requirements
・Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
・Strong knowledge of Japan tax legislation.
・SAP expertise (FI, CO, COPA, BI) and ideally HFM knowledge.
・Structured, results-oriented, and able to thrive under pressure.
・Strong communication skills to collaborate across teams globally.
・English: Advanced level (speaking, writing, and listening).
