Mission of the Role:
At the Hiroshima factory, which manufactures automotive electronic parts (center displays, speedometers, etc.)
- Progress management of factory preparation status
- Manufacturing cost estimation work
Key Objectives of this Role:
- Progress management of factory preparation status
- Collaborate with program managers, internal and external organizations such as design, and overseas bases to formulate project plans.
- Determine the feasibility of the plan, coordinate the necessary resources, and escalate as necessary.
- Share progress information between project teams
- Obtain budget approval for plan execution and manage performance
- Manufacturing cost estimation work
- Estimation of necessary in-factory investment for new product production
- Estimate of the number of personnel/man-hours required for production, such as cycle time in the assumed process
Key Performance Indicators:
- Cost ratio per sales
- Launch cost ratio per sales
Key Year One Deliverables:
- Equipment for mass production
- Manufacturing Quotation
Qualification, Experience and Skills:
Required
- Mass production preparation or project management experience in the manufacturing industry
- Communication/negotiation skills
- Business level of Japanese and English
Preferred
- Experience launching new products at an automobile-related company
- Experience in process development/design/implementation of automated lines
- Experience in starting up and improving processes using product inspection equipment and measuring machines
- Overseas work experience
