Confidential Global Insurance Leader is looking for a
Bilingual
AVP, Digital Modernization & Core Insurance Platforms.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the modernization of core insurance and legacy systems using cloud, AI, and data-driven technologies.
- Define technology strategy, modernization roadmap, and oversee end-to-end delivery of mission-critical platforms.
- Drive adoption of cloud-native, microservices, API-driven architectures, and modern engineering practices (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, TDD).
- Mentor and lead multi-country engineering teams, managing vendors, SaaS platforms, and offshore partners.
- Ensure platform security, resilience, compliance, and operational excellence.
Required Skills:
- 10–15+ years leading software engineering teams in large-scale digital transformations, preferably in financial services or technology industries.
- Hands-on experience with: Cloud-native platforms (Azure preferred) / Microservices & API-driven systems (Java/Spring Boot, Kong/APIM) / Frontend technologies (React, HTML, JS) and mobile (Swift, Objective-C, React Native) / AI, Big Data, and data engineering
- Proven experience modernizing legacy/mainframe systems and building secure, scalable, high-performance enterprise applications.
- Strong SDLC expertise: Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, test-driven development, domain-driven design.
- Fluent in English (Advanced) and Japanese (N2 or equivalent).
