What You Will Do
DCL Business Unit Head, Japan is a senior executive who are responsible for developing and implementing E2E business strategies, effective executions, and supervising daily activities in Dr
Ci:
Labo (=DCL) to increase their revenue, improve efficiency, or to meet other critical organizational goals both from short and long-term perspectives.
DCL Business Unit Head will make timely decisions and establish policies and process across DCL organizations to continuously evolve business models as well as the organizational capabilities.
Head of DCL Business Unit will also lead and manage all the business activities across the functions of DCL in compliance with ethics and legal requirements.
You will act as a hands-on business leader, directly engaging with teams and key levers (brand, DTC, 3P e-commerce, sales, marketing, and operations) to ensure short-term performance recovery while shaping a future-ready operating model.
Business & Strategy
Directs the development of short-term and long-range sales/profitability and other goals plans and budgets based upon the broad DCL BU's goals and growth objectives.
Develops and establishes DCL BU's operating policies consistent with the Japan company-wide policies and objectives as set by the top leadership in the organization.
Create and monitor business KPI's in DCL to identify process improvement opportunities.Develop a future state vision and strategic roadmap to continuously accelerate the growth of DCL business and organizations.
Commercial, Brand & Channel Leadership
Lead brand marketing strategy, ensuring strong brand equity, relevance, and differentiation in the market.
Strengthen DTC and 3rd-party e-commerce capabilities, working closely with sales leadership to drive omnichannel growth.
Oversee product and commercial cycles, ensuring speed, discipline, and execution excellence.
Shape and manage key external stakeholders and partners to enhance DCL's market position.
Organisation & Execution
Lead and orchestrate all the business activities and product management cycles by having a strong collaboration with the leaders in the enabling functions in compliance with ethics and legal requirements.
Play a key role to maintain and to shape external environment to ensure making DCL brand best in the cosmetics business market position.
Lead and maintain a positive and ethical work environment that is critical to attracting, retaining, and motivating a diverse group of top-quality employees at all levels.
Builds an engaged and highly performing workforce and develop people and organizational capabilities by leading and coaching the department leaders in DCL BU.
Develop a succession and talent pipeline, supporting parallel planning and future leadership needs.What We Are Looking For
A minimum of a Master's degree in Sciences, Engineering or Pharmacy. Doctorate (PHD) or Equivalent is a differential.
Fluent in Japanese and English
Track record of successfully meeting or exceeding organizational targets, achieving ambitious goals, and driving the impact of the business.
Strong experiences of general management of large-scale organization. Consumer and Beauty industry experience would be plus.
Strong Experiences of leading in a matrix environment and cross functional teams.
Strong Experiences of leading organizational change and upgrading organizational capabilities.
Proven ability to leverage financial and operational metrics to drive organizational decisions and achieve strategic objectives.
Strong commercial and brand mindset:
Deep understanding of brand marketing, DTC, and e-commerce dynamics in a consumer business.
Demonstrated track record to motivate and lead a high-performing team.
Influential in a matrix:
Skilled at leading through influence and collaboration across functions, regions, and global stakeholders.
People-centric leader: Builds trust, engagement, and accountability while developing future leaders.
