Overview:
Our client is hiring for a Project Manager focused on Data Center Mechanical and Electrical trades for the pre-construction phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage large-scale construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high-quality standard.
- Monitor day-to-day activities on-site, managing information flow, tracking issues related to progress, quality, and safety.
- Assist in completing handover plans, ensuring all documentation and expectations are met promptly and to a high standard.
- Act as a visible leader on-site, assessing progress and ensuring safe work practices are maintained.
- Coordinate with client teams, consultants, and contractors on all snagging activities, including scheduling and partner engagement.
- Proactively identify issues and work collaboratively with the team to resolve them effectively.
- Implement and monitor key project processes, partnering with clients to make improvements and updates.
- Ensure project procedures are consistently followed and adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead and attend key meetings to monitor progress, collaborate on problem-solving, and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
- Review proposed variations and delays, assessing their impact on project delivery.
Requirements:
- Have project management experience, particularly in mechanical and electrical trades, ideally including pre-construction phase experience.
- Hold a degree or equivalent experience in project management, construction, or a related discipline.
- Possess or are pursuing a project management professional certification.
- Are detail-oriented and quality-focused.
- Communicate effectively in both English and Japanese, verbally and in writing.
- Thrive in a collaborative, friendly team environment.
- Enjoy building strong relationships with colleagues and clients through shared purpose, openness, and a positive, engaging approach.
- Fluency in Japanese and business level English.
