Company Overview
We are a food-tech startup committed to breaking down the barriers that exist between people with diverse dietary needs and values-such as food allergies, veganism, animal welfare, and religious dietary restrictions-by delivering truly delicious plant-based food.

By leveraging traditional Japanese techniques, ingredients, and the globally recognized concept of
umami
, we develop and commercialize plant-based egg alternatives using plant-derived raw materials.

Our mission is to address major social challenges including price volatility and supply shortages caused by infectious diseases, food allergy concerns, and animal welfare issues, while transforming the massive global egg market and building a new food infrastructure.

Business Description

We develop and sell plant-based egg products that replicate both the taste and functional properties of conventional eggs, using proprietary fermentation technologies and plant-derived ingredients.

Currently, we focus on B2B ingredient supply, primarily targeting flour-based food markets. Adoption is expanding across hotels, confectionery manufacturers, and other professional food service providers.

Background of Hiring

As we enter a phase of full-scale business expansion, we are strengthening our management structure to allow the CEO to focus on overall corporate management and fundraising.

We are seeking a senior leader who can take full ownership of business operations and act as a core member of the management team-working closely with the CEO from strategy formulation through execution.

In particular, the COO will collaborate with the CEO, who leads overseas initiatives, and is expected to significantly scale both domestic and international businesses, with a strong focus on revenue growth in overseas markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end business development with food manufacturers, including proposals, deal structuring, execution, and account management
  • Design and execute sales strategies and build a scalable sales and operations organization
  • Formulate and execute mid- to long-term business strategies
  • Work closely with the CEO to identify management challenges and translate them into concrete action plans
  • Oversee cross-functional execution to ensure strategic alignment across the organization

Required Qualifications
All of the following are required:

  • Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience targeting food manufacturers within ingredient or raw-material businesses
  • Proven experience in new business planning and launch
  • Hands-on business experience at overseas locations (North America and/or Europe)
  • Business-level English proficiency
  • Native-level Japanese proficiency
