Director of Merchandising - Beauty/Health & Fitness

You'll spearhead innovative strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align with QVC's vision, and serve as an ambassador in both beauty and wellness spheres.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership in Beauty & Wellness: Develop and implement dynamic strategies that drive growth across both beauty and health & fitness categories, ensuring alignment with QVC's overall business objectives.

• Trend Identification: Recognize and leverage market trends in beauty and wellness, translating them into successful strategies that meet diverse customer demands.

• Brand & Product Portfolio Expansion: Acquire leading growth brands and exclusive products in beauty, health, and fitness, balancing inventory to optimize customer satisfaction.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with local and international teams to achieve cohesive and effective business outcomes across both categories.

• Vendor Relationships:Manage vendor sourcing, negotiations, and compliance, fostering partnerships that adhere to QVC's ethical standards in both beauty and wellness sectors.

• Innovative Opportunities: Champion strategic opportunities and innovations in merchandise planning and programming, shaping the future of beauty and wellness at QVC.

• Financial Oversight: Direct budgeting processes to ensure financial targets align with strategic and business plans.

Performance Metrics:

Sales growth and performance in the relevant categories

Gross margin enhancement

Customer acquisition and engagement in both categories

Inventory efficiency and sell-through at full price

Innovation and productivity in beauty and wellness brands

Team leadership development and engagement

Team Leadership & Vendor Management:

• Lead a skilled and inspired merchandising team, providing guidance and mentorship while setting clear expectations.
• Design efficient team structures that support strategic goals in both beauty and health & fitness.
• Oversee vendor contracts and collaborate with key brands to leverage growth opportunities.
• Propel supplier development and innovation through targeted market research and active engagement.

• Strong strategic vision in beauty and wellness categories, along with leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent analytical, financial, and negotiation capabilities.
• Profound market expertise in assorting planning and brand development within beauty and wellness.

 Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in merchandising within a multichannel environment, with a focus on beauty and health & fitness.
• Proven track record in retail, vendor management, and people leadership.
• A degree-level qualification is preferred.
