Business Overview

Rakuten Group's fundamental management philosophy is to "empower people and society" through innovation. Rakuten provides over 70 diverse services such as the internet shopping mall "Rakuten Ichiba," the travel reservation site "Rakuten Travel," various EC services, including "Rakuten Bank" financial services, and professional sports.

Department Overview

Unmanned Solutions Business offers services utilizing drones and UGVs (Unmanned Ground Vehicles), including aerial photography, drone inspections, drone schools, and unmanned delivery services using UGVs and drones.

Since the implementation of Japan's first drone delivery service in 2016, we have expanded its drone-related businesses to include a wide range of services such as mobile base station inspections, building exterior inspections, drone schools, a matching service connecting drone pilots with businesses, and more.

The delivery service using robots started in 2018, and since then, we provided Japan's first service from supermarkets to nearby parks in September 2019, and provided service nearby residential areas from supermarkets in April 2021. Moreover, we are currently providing regular robot delivery service in Tsukuba city.

Now we are recruiting colleagues who can utilize drones and robots to bring empowerment to people and society through innovation together.

Position Details

In this position, you will be responsible for sales of drone related services to potential / existing corporate clients.

Sales activities targeted at new customers (listing of target companies, phone calls/form contacts, negotiations, submission of estimates, contract conclusion, scheduling, etc.)

Sales activities aimed at acquiring repeated deals from existing customers (continuous contact with customers, understanding and uncovering needs, proposing services other than past contract projects, etc.)

Knowledge sharing with in-house sales members and stakeholders

How to proceed with work

You are expected to conduct about 20 to 30 negotiations per person per month as the main KPI, and aim to win orders.

The main number of cases you will be in charge of is as mentioned above, but experienced members will support you after joining the team.

Acquiring new customers makes up the majority of your responsibilities.

Mandatory Qualifications:

Experience in corporate sales

Native-level Japanese

Conversational-level English

Proficiency in MS Office applications

Desired Qualifications:

Experience in project management

Experience in business planning

Experience in budget formulation and budget performance management

Ability to work quickly and accurately

Ability to analyze using financial figures

Knowledge and experience of robotics
