Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate Salesforce Technical Architect to join our global team and help take the organization to the next level.
The candidate will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams including project managers, developers, and business analysts to design and deliver Salesforce applications that transform customers' marketing efforts.
The candidate serves as the "Master Builder" for complex digital transformations.While the core technical duties remain consistent globally, the role in Japan will be heavily defined by system integration complexity, localization nuances, and a deep focus on meticulous documentation and long-term stability.
The ideal candidate would be someone who can bridge modern SaaS with traditional Japanese enterprise IT standards.The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable Salesforce solutions aligned with business objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, extensive experience in customizing and integrating Salesforce applications, and a proven track record of leading successful Salesforce implementations.
The candidate must be fluent in both English and Japanese, with the ability to front-end customer discussions, translate business needs into scalable solutions, and collaborate closely with onshore and offshore teams.
Responsibilities:
Solution Design & System Landscape
A TA in Japan is responsible for the "Blueprinting" phase, ensuring the Salesforce architecture fits into a client's broader (often rigid) IT ecosystem.
Solution Design:
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable Salesforce solutions. Design architecture solutions that leverage Salesforce best practices and technologies to meet business needs.
Complex Integrations:
Designing robust middleware strategies (often involving MuleSoft or local ETL tools like HULFT) to connect Salesforce with legacy on-premises Japanese ERPs.
Multi-Cloud Strategy:
Orchestrating solutions across Sales, Service, and Experience Clouds while increasingly integrating Agentforce (AI) and Data Cloud for Japan-specific data residency requirements.
Scale & Security:
Designing sharing models and data architectures that accommodate the unique hierarchical structures and privacy regulations (APPI) of Japanese corporations.
Governance and Compliance:
Establish and enforce Salesforce governance policies, ensuring adherence to security standards, data privacy regulations, and platform limits. Perform regular security assessments and implement measures to mitigate risks.
DevOps Governance:
Leading the internal adoption of CI/CD tools (Copado, Flosum, or GitHub Actions) to move teams away from manual change sets, which are often a source of high risk in Japanese projects.
Documentation Templates:
Designing standardized Technical Design Document (TDD) templates that meet the rigorous requirements of Japanese "Sekkeisho" (Design Specifications).
Governance and Compliance:
Establish and enforce Salesforce governance policies, ensuring adherence to security standards, data privacy regulations, and platform limits. Perform regular security assessments and implement measures to mitigate risks.
Performance Optimization:
Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize Salesforce configurations, code, and data model to improve system performance and scalability. Monitor system usage and implement enhancements to optimize user experience.
Documentation and Training:
Create technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and implementation guides. Conduct training sessions for end-users, administrators, and developers to promote Salesforce best practices and knowledge sharing.
Stakeholder Advisory & Communication
The TA acts as the technical "Trusted Advisor" to the client's internal IT department.

Navigating client meetings to understand true technical requirements versus stated requests, often requiring high-level Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N1/N2) or a strong bilingual partner.
Review Board Leadership:
Presenting technical designs to the client's IT security and architecture boards to gain formal approval.
Documentation (Sekkeisho): In Japan, the documentation is often as important as the code. TAs are responsible for high-quality technical design documents (TDDs) that detail every API call and data mapping.
Technical Quality & Peer Review Leadership
The TA leads the gatekeeping process to align with the "Zero Defect" cultural expectation.
Code Review Governance:
Implementing and leading mandatory peer-review sessions.
The TA ensures that code is not only functional but follows "Bulkified" patterns and doesn't hit Salesforce governor limits—avoiding embarrassing performance issues in production.
Architectural Review Board (ARB): Chairing an internal board where Solution Architects must "pitch" their designs for peer critique before they are presented to the client.
This ensures the partner firm speaks with a unified, high-quality technical voice.Technical Leadership:
Lead technical discussions and provide guidance to development teams on the Salesforce platform for best practices, design patterns, and architectural considerations.
