PwC Customs and Trade Advisory LLC is the global customs and international trade consulting practice of PwC. We help companies to manage complex import and export compliance risks, reduce international trade and customs costs, and improve supply chain efficiency.

As a Senior Associate, you will be leading junior staff and working closely with Managers and Senior Managers to deliver both local and regional projects, and to maintain and grow our client and intra-firm relationships.

【Roles and responsibilities】

・Scoping, planning, executing and delivering a wide range of projects in conjunction with other teams around the region, and the world, and working in conjunction with the PwC Tax, Assurance and Advisory practices in Japan.

・Client projects require deep knowledge of customs valuation & classification, Free Trade Agreements, import / export compliance, Japan-specific procedures and protocols and trade strategy development. Candidates will also be expected to identify potential opportunities to improve trade efficiency and savings as well as improvements in compliance.Experience with implementation of global trade automation solutions is helpful.

・Candidates will be expected to assume a proactive role in planning and executing practice improvements, business development, and other initiatives to develop and create opportunities for the PwC business.

・Guiding and mentoring staff to promote their personal development.

• Employment will be with PwC Tax Corporation, and upon joining, you will be seconded to PwC Customs and Trade Advisory LLC effective immediately.

【役割と責任】

・国内外のチームやPwC内の税務、監査、アドバイザリーチームなどと連携して、様々なプロジェクトを立案・計画および実施・遂行。

・ クライアント向けプロジェクトでは、関税評価、関税分類、自由貿易協定、輸出入コンプライアンス、日本特有の手続きや慣習そして貿易取引戦略の立案などの深い知識が求められます。また、コンプライアンスの改善や貿易効率化およびコスト削減のための潜在的なオポチュニティを見出すことも求められます。 貿易オートメーションシステムの構築・導入経験があれば、それを活かすことができます。

・ PwCサービスの発展と機会創出のため、業務計画及び改善、事業開発、その他のイニシアチブを積極的に進める役割を担うことが期待されます。

・ スタッフの人材開発を促進するために指導および育成。

• PwC税理士法人にて雇用となり、入社後即日PwC関税貿易アドバイザリー合同会社に出向となります。

登録資格 Qualification

【Requirements】

Candidates should have at least 2 years of customs and trade professional experience in consulting or in industry, including:

・ Abilities in analyzing and researching Japan customs and/or export controls issues and regulations

・ Data analysis and problem solving skills

・ Bachelor's degree in a trade or business related field.

・ Ability to work effectively proactively in a fast paced, changing environment.

・Project management skills

・Critical thinking and excellent problem solving and analysis skills

・Ability to multitask and prioritize, with excellent time management skills

・Ability to handle confidential information frequently and appropriately

・ Excellent Bilingual language ability capability in written and spoken Japanese and English.

・ A desire to pursue a career in the field of customs and international trade.

・ Some traveling may be required.

・Prior experience working in a consulting (Big 4 firm or other customs consulting firm) or trading firm environment is a plus.

【応募要件】

関税・貿易に係るコンサルティング会社や事業会社において2年以上の実務経験があり、以下の資質を有すること。

・ 日本の関税や輸出管理に関連するイシュー又は規制に関する分析および調査能力

・ データ分析および問題解決スキル

・ 貿易およびビジネス関連分野の学士号

・急速に変化する環境の中で、効果的かつ積極的に働く能力

・プロジェクトマネジメントスキル

・論理的思考と優れた問題解決・分析能力

・マルチタスク処理と優先順位付け、および優れた時間管理能力

・機密情報を頻繁にかつ適切に取り扱う能力

・ 日本語、英語両方のライティングおよびスピーキングが優れた語学力

・ 関税・国際貿易の分野でキャリアを積む意欲があること。

・Big4やその他関税に係るコンサルティング会社、また商社等での業務経験があればより好ましい。

・出張が必要になる場合もあり
